What is Home Watch?
Home Watch is a proactive, preventative service that provides routine on-site inspections to identify issues early—before they become emergencies. We act as your local point of contact, delivering peace of mind and professional oversight when your home is unoccupied.
Monthly on-site inspections include
Interior & Exterior Property Checks
- Walkthrough of interior and exterior areas
- Verify doors, windows, and garage are secure
- Check for signs of forced entry or trespassing
- Inspect ceilings, walls, and floors for leaks or moisture
- Visual inspection of roofline, soffits, fascia, and gutters (from ground level)
Plumbing & Moisture Prevention
- Flush all toilets
- Run sinks, tubs, and showers to maintain plumbing traps
- Check under sinks and around fixtures for leaks
- Inspect water heater area for moisture
- Monitor for mildew, musty odors, or condensation
HVAC & Air Quality Monitoring
- Verify air conditioning system is operating properly
- Check thermostat settings and indoor conditions
- Replace HVAC air filters (owner-supplied or billed separately)
- Inspect A/C drain line for visible clogs or backups
- Look for mold-risk indicators around vents
Electrical & Appliance Oversight
- Check electrical panel for tripped breakers
- Test GFCI outlets
- Run major appliances periodically (dishwasher, disposal, washer)
- Verify refrigerator operation or proper shutdown
Exterior & Yard Observation
- Walk property perimeter
- Check for pest or insect activity
- Confirm lawn or landscape service appears maintained (if applicable)
- Inspect outdoor spigots and irrigation for visible leaks
Storm Awareness & Post-Storm Checks
- Monitor property condition during storm season
- Post-storm exterior inspection following named storms
- Identify visible storm damage or water intrusion
- Photo documentation for owner awareness and insurance needs
- Emergency vendor coordination with owner approval
